Louis turns Butterbean's face into ground round by the 3rd round.

 

I would be very confident in saying, that the best technicians in the heavyweight division of Louis's era, are better than the best of today's from a technical standpoint.

There is nobody in the current heavyweight division, who is as good a technician as Lee Ramage for example.

 

That’s a completely different claim than the ones I objected to but ok. How so? How exactly is Lee Ramage better from a technical standpoint than Hugie Fury, for example?

 

An interesting comparison.

Ironically Ramage fought in the modern square on stance, while Fury fights from the old school off center stance favored by Joe Louis.

Ramage even uses a more modern guard.

Fury is a tricky fighter, but he doesn't seem to bring much to the table apart from his jab.

He doesn't use the range of combinations and clever feints that you see from a master boxer like Ramage.

Of course given his size he doesn't really need to.

 

Especially with his power

Gorman is a decent prospect, but young and inexperienced. But while he's shown potential he's also fought low level opposition, and slogged through some fights against them.

Gorman is the most well balanced Hw out there right now.

I could list many guys more skillful then the guy who was brought up above.....but since HWs are fat and unskilled today Supposedly ,posting Gorman nullifies anyone who Actually thinks that.
