Does Evander get to use his steroids? If not its an easier night for Louis who I pick to win regardless.

Louis was ponderous of foot, lightning fast hands.

Steroids improve strength & explosive power, & can improve energy over a grueling bout or season. It does not improve your developed boxing skills like defense or combinations. but it gives you an edge in physical abilities.

Holyfield's weight training + PEDs helped him bull around Tyson, who was surprised by his strength. Even a small advantage in punching power or taking a punch is siignificant.

I do not believe Holyfield or almost anyone NOT with a very lare bone structure would have a 19 1/2" neck while LEAN. Not just a collar measurement, which are almost always bigger than your actual neck.
Tyson is an exception, & he was approaching 200 lb.s in his early teens while clearly something under 6'.

Explosive power? Muscles make you more heavy handed, than give your explosive power. They improve energy only in better and faster recovery of muscles after heavy training, they don't give you additional energy during a fight, on the contrary, more muscles require more energy.

The fact that he has gone on record as saying that he would brawl with Louis, does not help his case.

If Holyfield had a broken right hand I'd know who'd I would pick.

Louis knocks him out in 6-7 rounds. Bottom line is this. Holyfield will go toe to toe with Louis. In doing so, he will take a beating. Even with a brilliant game plan, holyfield can only counterpunch to a certain point before Louis times him, and starts landing his offensive arsenal.

Louis too good, hard punching but Evanders heart makes for some action just out-gunned by the best combo power puncher to live faster and more accurate than Tyson and JL goes to the body well

OK, more muscle does require more energy. In a long season such as in baseball it can help keep energy up, but admittedly this is different from the explosive bursts used in individual matches. So I would say not more muscular endurance.

Though besides the strength, I do believe they give you more explosive power overall. There is great overlap & differences between strength & speed, the elements that produce explosiveness.

    Wrong guy for Evander.

He'll get hurt to the body and drop those hands. And Joe's precision punching will come into play and those untelegraphed punches will close the show. Evander's competitive nature and toughness keep him in there, but he takes a major beating from this guy. I think the kind of beating that takes years off a fighters career. Sometimes guys would be better off going out early than taking a sustained beating culminating in a late ko.

I really like the corner of Louis to take away Evander's lefthook & without that punch being effective, he's in big big trouble.
