Joe Louis vs Evander Holyfied

i think that joe louis could be the only guy who could knock evander holyfield out clean. even young foreman could stop him by tko, not clean ko, louis was a sniper and holyfield was not the type of puncher to stop louis with a lucky punch, and i don´t think that evander could land every shot from a combination on louis, and evander WOULD NEED LAND A GOOD COMBINATION to stop louis

 

I like that line about mistakes with a sniper.

Holyfield, would take some serious leather in this fight that he would not be able to shake off. Louis does not throw 1-2's or look for the big shot. He looks to throw off-timers, then a fastball, followed by and breaking ball, then charlie, then another fastball with the other hand.

Holyfield just does not have the kind of defense needed to make the faster, sharper, Louis miss enough. I can see Holyfield landing a solid punch, then another, making Louis shake a little and when he tries to follow up getting caught rushing by not just one shot, but three and four.

Louis would be facing the kind of power that Walcott bought to the table and a little of the skill that Charles and Walcott bought but the only thing is this in not old Louis but young and fresh Louis against Holyfield from his Bowe days.

Evander would have to be perfect. That is not Evanders game.

Louis eats him up. Great jabs gave holy issues whether old man Holmes or Bowe, or Lewis. Then when he does get inside and he meets someone with faster hands and deadly accurate punching who doesn't tire like a tyson and look to hold. Exciting fight but Louis takes him out around the 7th.

 

Holyfield would have just been to much for Joe!Goin blow for blow wth Holy makin hm miss spells doom for Louis.
