He wasn’t and you don’t take PED’s for chess, You get into good enough shape for boxing that’s the “easy” part and then it’s all thinking.
I didn't mean to be a jerk, but I have never, ever heard anyone deny holy's boxing ability. I mean, the way he could dictate the physical positioning of himself and his opponent in a fight was surreal.
It would be funny when Louis' punches are relatively ineffective against Holy's chin, Louis was a great puncher but realistically Bowe, Tyson, and Foreman had more power
Do you think Cooper had more power? Not to mention the fact that Louis was more precise than any of those men. His power comes on harder.
I just disagree - maybe he was good for heavyweight and Evander was very good. Personally I don’t believe he was “great” or “surreal” at all as an overall boxer . Holyfield shared such a game with players such as… Burley, Tunney, Conn, Robinson, Toney, Louis, B Leonard, Duran, Napoles, Monzon, Moore, Charles, LaMotta, Lopez, Olivares, Arguello, Rose, R Leonard, McCallum, Hagler, Graham, Gavalin, Griffith, Mayweather, Harada, Zarate, Jofre, Armstrong…. On and on the list could go. I could name 50 or maybe many more fighters with some thought I’d rather train someone to model themselves after over EH with all due respect. “Surreal” and “Great” are a very exclusive label IMO. I however TBF cannot make such a list at heavyweight because it’s always been the Hotdog and Monster-Truck division with few exceptions.
I do believe that it has been reinterpreted as such. At one point in the comic books they removed it from Cap's system.
He's 190 vs Marciano, vs Louis I was thinking the Holyfield that manhandled 220lb Tyson, at 190 he could possibly beat the past it Louis that Marciano did, prime Louis would have a 20lb advantage on cruiser Holy, which due to the skill level would not be a fair fight at all lol
