Prime for prime This content is protected This content is protected Looking at the 2, I really would be surprised if Charles wins, yes he was like 25lbs lighter, but he he was better in every way other than obviously size and power, lighter on his feet, less predictable with his footwork, I could see him jabbing up and down, jabbing to that body to get Louis to lean forward as he did, and using that to set up the uppercut, lead left hooks etc, he’d be moving around, feinting and teeing off for large degrees of the fight, if Louis doesn’t knock him out, Louis loses IMO, Charles also had an underrated defence, even on the inside he knew where his opponent was at, and he’d always be mindful when exiting from up close, which is where Louis would often catch out opponents, when they switched off in the clinch etc. This content is protected Who wins this matchup?
I think it'll look like the Billy Conn fight Ezzard would give Louis some problems in the beginning but eventually Joe would corner him and catch him and knock him out.
