Close fight IMO. Both at their best, in a 15 rounder.

People tend to approach this fantasy fight, with the assumption that he would use the same style as he did against Dempsey, which was not his normal style.

That being said, what do you reckon would happen?

I find it very plausible that he would make the same calculation, and use the same strategy, but should we assume it as a starting point?

Assuming you think Tunney would deem the same strategy effective for Louis, then yes.

I suspect that a prime Louis would walk him down and stop him eventually; thought Tunney would be a dangerous assignment.

If Tunney used his usual strategy, Louis would likely get him quickly.

Tunney would jump right into a right hand and it would be lights out quickly.Tunney would be easily timed by Louis.

I would think that Tunney would be a tough assignment because of his movement fast hands and feet but I think Louis gets to Gene before the final bell

I think that Gene would have finished what Conn started. Tunney by decision or late stoppage.
