The video you never watched? Cause I rewatched it yesterday and Walcott fought the same way he usually did. Louis just made him miss and countered him throughout the second part of the fight.
no he didnt I seen it earlier he wasnt moving that much your vision is horrible I keep telling you this and you wont get glasses
So show me this advanced movement of Dempsey that would be too good for Louis. Come on, you're so good at analyzing footage you never watched.
Billy Conn buckled Louis several times. Nearly had him down and he only weighed 169 lbs. Schmelling knocked him cold. Neither were big punchers. Louis does not have the chin to hold up against a lightning fast, powerful dynamo in Dempsey. Louis is a better boxer by only a small margin, Power . Dempsey Footwork . Dempsey Chin . Dempsey Speed. Close..but Dempsey Vs Boxing. Louis ( small margin) Combos Louis A prime Dempsey should have the clear advantage in a fantasy fight. In a rematch Louis has a better chance but at best still 50/50. Dempsey much like Tyson would overwhelm Louis. I would bet on it.
I dont think it would resemble either.I would expect Dempsey to come out firing and have Joe in trouble early and never let him off the hook.Dempsey was an excellent finisher. If Louis weathers the early storm his superior skills come into play, but I don't think that would happen.
Almost as bad as being nearly down against Carpentier. Except that Conn was much better than George. Schmeling wasn't a big puncher? What am I reading? Schmeling is a better puncher than anyone Dempsey faced. I only give you chin and maybe speed. Dempsey definitely didn't hit harder than Louis.
Conn was better than Carpentier but didn't have anywhere near his power.Schmeling is a bigger puncher than Firpo,Smith,Fulton,Morris,Brennan,Miske? That is very debatable.
Maybe, although Conn's power is underrated. My point is that Dempsey fans who laugh at idea that Louis was hurt by LHW always forget about Carpentier bout. 1. I said better, not bigger. Could be a huge difference. 2. None of the names you mentioned have the quarter of Schmeling's punching resume. Max stopped many durable contenders throughout his career: Stribling, Hamas, Risko, Louis, Walker, Thomas... Some of them were never stopped before or after. Who did Firpo ever stopped? 42 years old Willard? Maybe Schmeling didn't hit as hard as Fulton or Firpo, but he was certainly more dangerous puncher than them. Don't see any reason to mention Smith or Brennan.
Dempsey said Brennan hit him harder than anyone. How many stopped Willard? Gunboat Smith was a noted puncher.
Brennan stopped 49 men in 52 wins. Fulton 68 in 77wins. Morris 41 in 53 wins. Miske 33 in43 wins. Nobody is telling me they were not punchers.
Nobody said they weren't punchers, but they weren't as dangerous at top level as Schmeling. Do you disagree with that?
