when johnson comes into clinch, louis will take his head off with his laser-like inside combinations. Louis is no Fireman Jim Flynn :yep

I hear you, its different eras, so Joe was the better tecnition. I think Johnson had better stamana and hit way harder though, thats why I think he could pull out the knockout

yes but jack blackburn who was a great fighter and later the coach of louis, said he loved louis as a person and hated johnson. but if they fought he thought louis didn't have a chance of winning

    Louis W 15.
If it was a 61 round fight Johnson might win.

I think this one will be decided by what refereeing rules to apply. Back in the Jack Johnson's time, there were awful lots of clinching and holding and fights can last up to 40+ rounds. If Jack Johnson is allowed to do that agianst Louis, I can see him dragging Louis into deep waters and score a stoppage.

But with the quite modern rules, I think Louis outpoints Jack Johnson in a 15 rounder.

I pick Johnson. He's a rythym breaker, he's faster in terms of reaction time, there's a lot on a lot of his punches, he's hard to hit clean, he won't be jabbing with Louis and he has great stamina. I think it would be a tight UD for Johnson. Louis could punch him out of course, but that is not my pick.

I think Joe was a fine fighter, but he was a bit plodding and slow as hell on his feet
