This is probably an unpopular opinion on this forum but I think Frazier goes the distance and wins. Huge fan of Joe Louis but Frazier deserves some recognition for this matchup as he only lost to ATG's.

Louis by late stoppage. He'll time out Frazier hook and start landing his own power shots.

I don't think Frazier can easily be dismissed in this bout based on how Louis did in Godoy 1 and the shots Galento landed flush on him. Louis is going to land just as Quarry did on Frazier in their first go and the question is would Frazier have been able to take them. Louis might hit the deck but I see him battering Frazier's face to a late round stoppage of clear dec. win.

It's an interesting call as both had styles that left them vulnerable to the other .. Louis had issues w crouching fighters till he timed them , excelling in rematches once he was reprogrammed on how to deal with them, something he did have trouble with during a single fight often .. Frazier started slowly, was vulnerable at getting caught early and let's face it, Louis was a monster puncher with blazing fists ... I favor Louis but it is a live fight ..

No contest. Louis in one. Deadly, pin-point accurate combinations and the greatest jab ever would make this a brief encounter. Frazier would go down and stay down for the count inside of three minutes, imo.

I think it would be an early night for Frazier as well. Maybe round 3 KO

Frazier floors him but Louis still catches him and ends it probably around the 13th. Frazier was tough as hell...

Based on a prime Louis vs. Prime Frazier it could be a long night for both but if you position their eras properly IMO you've got a different story. The Bomber TKO or clear decision.

Frazier goes 15 rounds with a Sub-prime Muhammad Ali and wins but gets KO'd in 1 against Louis?? Come on! no way!

Particularly agree with the bolded but most of the rest too. Galento landed plenty of hooks early and Frazier is THEE hooker. It would not totally surprise me to see this fight over prior to round 6.

This is a factor we must not blind our eyes to by nostalgic hero worship. I don't want to think Frazier beats Louis ,but logic says he has a chance to do so.
