Arguable. Norton, Witherspoon, Weaver, Cooney, Mercer, McCall, Holyfield, and Smith would all at the very least hold their own in Louis's era and I think they'd all have a decent chance at decking Joe. Louis was dropped by guys who had no business dropping the all time #1 heavyweight.

I rank Louis #1 of all time, but head to head I think he falls short against prime Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, and Marciano. Frazier would be a toss up imo.

Not sure why? His point is the same as mine, that you OK'd? There is a decent comparrison to be made between the level of opposition...You should research it rather than dismiss it as out of hand....he knows of what he speaks!

There would be far too much respect for a KO. Louis to edge a mighty fine decision.

Right.... Because Holmes had stamina problems and was known for gassing out mid-rounds...

Reality check: This probably goes to a decision, and probably in Holmes' favor.

I could go with either guy winning in any fashion, but the most likely outcome is Holmes by decision.

Holmes boxes Louis' ears off. Possible late stoppage for Holmes.

If I were a betting man, I would say it say it is the most likely scenerio!
