@robert ungurean,it's SOOO inviting to simply agree with you, because I love Larry. It's true, Joe never dealt with anything like Larry's jab, that kind of thing just wasn't around then (besides Joe's own, really good one).

No question Larry would jab Joe silly. It's just that I think Joe had the kind of right hand power that Weaver had (certainly more than Snipes, which I think was just a lucky punch Holmes didn't see). And he'd land. The question is finishing, and Joe was good at that.

That said, Larry Holmes had the heart of a lion, a greater one than any heavy champ since besides Holyfield imo. I mean, he took a scary as hell shot from Earnie, got up and back in control within a round....

I think Frazier is the worst H2H nightmare for Holmes because of his superior stamina, defense, and especially infighting to Tyson. He also had more heart. I disagree about Foreman being to slow. Shavers was much slower than Foreman yet he nearly killed Holmes. I think Foreman's speed is very underrated.

Anything Holmes could do, Louis could do better. Louis by TKO.

I'm going to say Louis,, I kinda think Joe will hurt Larry at some point, Larry has a tremendous heart though and could survive it but loses a UD.
