Joe Louis -vs- Lennox Lewis:

Louis's jab isnt very good though and Joe has problems with jabbers and right handers himself.

Lennox controls with the jab, uses his range, and smashes Joe with big rights and uppercuts to stop him between rounds 6-8

 

Louis has an ATG jab.

 

ITS ****!!! He doesnt even throw it properly, outjabbing Marciano doesnt mean anything

I surprise myself by making this a 50/50 fight.
Lewis is one Heavyweight Champion .whom I think presents problems for all the other Champs.

 

Put it this way.

If Evander Holyfield had Louis's power he would have beaten Lennox.

 

Its more of a flick, he doesnt step in on it or get weight behind it, control range with it or double/treble it.

Its not a weapon or 1 of his strengths, more of a range finder, so to suggest hes outjabbing a proven jabber with an 82inch is unfounded

As for Louis having problems with jabbers/movers - Walcott, Conn and Schmelling gave him him nightmares

 

Lennox fought and beat more punchers than any other HW champ, plenty bigger punchers than Louis to boot

 

But no finisher in Louis's class.
