Joe Louis vs Mike Tyson

    You dont seem to predict many long/competitive/uncertain fights.

    Possible fights like Tyson vs Bowe thread i didn't answer because i was unsure. If i'm too unsure then i better not say anything.

    1) If one fighter came along in the others time (developing in analogy to how he did in his own time), I'd pick Louis by a thin margin.

    2) If each were fighting exactly as they were at their best, I'd pick Tyson by a thin margin.

    Since I think 2) was more what the thread intended, I voted 'Tyson'. I was swayed by the thought that he was a bit harder to hit and hurt.

    This is going to be some fight, seeing as both guys were fluent, devestating medium-short range punchers.

    Tyson in 2. Louis was great in his day but i don't give him any chance against Tyson. Two things would spell disaster for louis; his average chin and his slow feet. If Louis got hurt (and he would), his feet would not be fast enough to get him out of harms way and he'd be forced to try to hold. This would not work against Tyson, who would seize the opportunity and score the kayo
