Cause Fury moves a lot better than he does.

I agree I think he would be a difficult out for anyone. What I meant to continue writing but was interrupted by other matters was that Fury’s resume is very limited. Has only a handful of good wins. Would like just to see more. For every bad win from Louis there was five good wins. Fury doesn’t have five good wins yet. He will get there imo.

It would only be fair to point out that Schmeling, Farr, Godoy and Conn were the best challengers that could be found for him at the time.

It wasn't like looking bad against somebody ranked outside the top ten!

How do you think Fury would do against those 4... better or worse than Louis?

    He'd beat them with ease.

I like Fury, I feel he is fearless , talented and a lot of fun ... that aside when you look at his career he basically squeezed a decision over an antiquated Klitschko in a safety first , horrifically low punch output borefest and beat the biggest one trick pony in heavyweight history in the extremely dangerous but absurdly limited Wilder .. I personally have serious doubts that he can defeat the version of AJ that fought the Ruiz rematch ... now he beats Joe Louis ?

Anyone remember him almost having his head taken off by cruiserweight Steve Cunningham ?

Now he heats Joe Louis ? Seriously ?

At his best... as Louis himself was in his prime for those 4 fights.

Maybe it's you who are nostalgic about your own era?

    Now that is highly debatable.

For example when Louis lost to Schmeling, he had turned professional less than two years ago.

At the same stage of his career, Fury was fighting guys like 21-32-2 Zack Page, and sometimes punching himself in the face!
