It's very HARD to go against Louis.......... BUT! I will say that Vitali Klit is NOT the typical bum like "Abe Simon" or "Bud Baer" were, either...... I cannot pick a winner here........ Either fighter could win by a KO....... Pick 'em.... MR.BILL:bbb
Sharkey of '36 was age 34 and flabby in the girth for Louis....... Shark fell inside three rds....... That was NOT even a close to prime or motivated Sharkman....... Jack Sharkey was looking for some retirement cash to sleep on......... :deal MR.BILL
Either way, in my book, Ol' Sharkey was merely a good boxer / puncher who rarely took fighting as seriously as he should have........ Sharkey's legacy has been hurt by KO losses to "Dempsey, Carnera & Louis." Again, he was good, but not truly great........ MR.BILL:bbb
Despite his size and movement Vitali Klitschko is hittable. If Vitali dose not ko Louis by round 5 Louis will land more often. It may be a race aginst time for Louls to stop VK. I think VK will have racked up enough points to win a close decisionn. The possible results are 1. VK ko 1-5 over Louis 2. Louis ko 7-12 over VK 3. VK w12 7-5 over Louis.
I doubt Jack Sharkey would lose more than a round to Juan Carlos Gomez, whom many here call the best boxer Vitali ever faced. Sharkey was a master technician. He could do it all.
Bull manure........... Klit has fought several dudes who'd beat Sharkey....... If Sharkey were fighting today in his prime of about 28 to 32 yrs of age, he'd be a 200 pounder with moderate boxing skills and slightly above average power...... Sharkman would NOT be a world beater......... Vitali Klit hammers Sharkey into submission by round 6............ MR.BILL:bbb
atschatschatsch Jack Sharkey would tool with the Klitschko victims you call "Dudes". He is so far above them in terms of skill it would not even be close.
Does Jack Sharkey lose to a fat untrained 38 year old Lennox Lewis? Doubt it. Its irrelevant anyways, since vitali also LOST to that version.
I see the enigmatic Sharkey going 50/50 in many fights with "Kirkland Johnson, Corrie Sanders, Danny Williams, Sammy Peter & Juan Gomez." And, since these are all dream fights anyway, we'll say for the sake of arguement that all these guys were at their peaks and in damn good shape....... I'm sorry, but the chumps who briefley held the lineal belt in the early 30s like "Schmeling, Sharkey, Carnera, Baer & Braddock" were NOT the best or greatest boxers of all-time; they were very beatable...... Cheers..... MR.BILL
C'MON!!!!! Lewis at 280 pounds and age 40 could crawl outta bed with a hangover and park Sharkey like a Cadillac....... Sharkey could never beat Lewis......... NEVER!! MR.BILL:bbb
