I AM a Klit fan! But only with tis bunch of heavies. Even then, Wlad looks suscepticle! Wlad has never faced anyone like Joe, who knew to wait his game and pounce with panther like precision. Wlad's knees would tremble coming into this fight and that would go against his courage from the start. The Brown Bomber would cut him down like a tree by round 5 :patsch

Wlad is a good big heavyweight. Louis is a small but great heavyweight. Wlad might be good enough to go the distance. My pick is Louis by decision.

Amen, there are a ton of Wlad nuthuggers on ESB its not even funny. Most will say Wlads alot bigger than Louis, so that means he automatically wins. Wlad is not a great heavyweight, hes a good heavyweight. A guy thats gets poped with a jab by Brewster and his legs start to buckle, is not the type a guy that will be able to stand in there with a guy like Louis and win.:yep

Wlad has every single advantage in this match, every single one. How does Louis win? Louis undoubtedly ranks higher as an ATG HW based on his career, but based on his size and disadvantage on every single area, no way he beats Wlad, especially given his mediocre chin as well, at least as bad as Wlad's.

Also, it's a public poll, just click on the numbers on the poll to see who voted for who.

Just so we are absolutley clear - you think that Klitschko has better composite punching, chin, stamina and footwork.

    By KO of course.

Just as good composite punching, easily as good a chin, don't make Louis out to have some granite chin, and footwork? I hope that was a joke.

If 'Tony "Two tonne" (aka The bum) Galento' can floor Loius then Wlad can.
If 175lb Conn can outbox Loius then Wlad can outbox him.
If Louis can get right hand bombs dropped on him from Schmeling then Wlad's can drop on Louis too.

Wlad out jabs and outmuscles the far far smaller Louis dropping him and keeping him down.

I think Louis is a much better combination puncher than Klit, clear water. I didn't say Louis had a granite chin. But I do say he was more difficult to stop with punches than Klitschko...Louis has wonderful footwork for a stalker, brilliant economy for a HW.

And his half steps were truly professional and worked well for his arsenal. He wouldn't let Wlad off the hook either, once he got him there he would end it! A truly great heavyweight, and all these school kids never saw the like of him.

I disagree. Yeah Wlad might beat an inexperienced Louis on a bad night like Shemeling did but you saw what Louis did to Schemeling two years later. Louis had great hand speed. Great fundamentals. The half step the Louis shuffle. He could get in and out quickly. He was devastating against tall guys like the Baer boys. I believe that his skills could overcome the bigger man.
Wlad got dropped by small heavyweight liks TOS. TOS isn't half the fighter that Louis was.

Look. I think Louis is the second greatest heavyweight in history and I rank him based on his contemporaries and era. His combination punching is arguably the best in heavyweight history.

But I also take into effect the evolution of an athlete from the early 1900's to the early 2000's. Klitschko is bigger, stronger, and retains excellent speed for a man his size. If Louis thought those right hands from Schmeling hurt, he'd be in for a surprise against Klitschko's straight right hand, not to mention his jab.

Klitschko under Steward has improved exponentially the past 2 years. He manages to pace himself well and has developed into a formidable clincher when he's in close or hurt. Even if Louis did manage to get inside, Klitschko would wrap him up. And whereas the Klitschko of old would panic when hurt, I think the Peter fight showed that Klitschko has a much more methodical approach to his fights now.

Wlad has 20 more wins to tie Louis record of 69-3. Does anyone here think he'll match it or beat it? The same will beat Louis Title defenses also.
