Get outta here with that stuff. For some reason, ESB REALLY hates acknowledging Wilder was washed against Parker and Zhang.

ESB: Wilder was never better than at age 38.

Also ESB: Louis was a shell of a corpse at 38.

This is why I usually avoid Wilder threads—hardly anyone here is remotely objective about him, so most of the discussion ends up being worthless noise.

Agree. Wilder’s style wasn’t always pretty to watch. But like it or not he was effective. He got through 42 fights unbeaten and laid out several contenders. He was practically out on his feet in the first Ortiz fight and came back to flatten him. The dude would have been top 10 in any era and a champion in about a third of them

So true re knee jerk reactions, which can also cut both ways in respect of both wins and losses.

From zero to hero then from hero to zero in just a couple of fights. That’s how it is these days.

Big Bang carries a measure of danger for sure but all in all, Louis should slice and dice him.

The 280 lbs weight reference made earlier actually counts against Zheng who doesn’t throw’em at rate like we saw in Tua vs Ibeabuchi - far from it…and that initial output rate becomes worse as the rounds roll by.

For Louis it’s open season on both head and body - Joe was a complete offensive machine.

Joe Louis on points, was faster, more varied and technically more complete. Zhang have a very good chin, I think he wouldn't have lost by stoppage.

Joe is just too much for Zhang but Zhang does hear the final bell in a clear decision for Louis, with maybe a kd in the early rounds for himself.

Louis would obliterate Zhang. Probably the most skilled heavyweight ever vs one of the less talented.

If Kabayel could easily, imagine what a better, more versatile, more experienced, more accurate and harder body puncher could do.

Well the 280lbs will make it far more difficult for Zhangs cornermen to pick his unconscious rear end up and set him on the stool after he's brutally ko'ed inside 4

You really think Zhang, who's gassed in fights after 5 rounds will go 15 with the Brown Bomber? ,,,,Really?

This is Louis doe not Ali and Foreman, Foreman almost lost to Lyle so I’d get it.

Yes, Zhang has shown that he has poor stamina but also that he is a solid boxer, we saw him go 12 rounds with Hrgovic and take the blows of a powerful heavyweight like Joyce well.
