foreman makes louis his little ***** inside 5 rounds , no 200 pounder with ****py chin and slow feet is beating foreman
It is extremely important that you dont shoot anybody over a boxing debate. The judge will not understand!
Louis did not have the best chin and did not like pressure. I think Foreman needs to be acknowledged as the favourite to win, although Louis had a huge bag of tricks and with his versatility I wouldn't bet against him to pull off the upset.
Let's not forget that Louis blew through heavy hitters. He had great defense and punching power as well. I see Louis getting on the inside and tearing up Big George with his 6 inch punches. He was only truly stopped by a counter puncher who gave him a beating over 12 rds.
I pick Louis. I think by the nature of the style clash it will be a destruction but not a none competitive one. Anyone with Foreman's power is in a fight till the end.
The Joe Louis of the Max Baer fight era would destroy a much slower George Foreman in an early round because if a fighter don't have "wheels" to get out of range, Louis's MUCH faster combinations would get there first, and NO FIGHTER in history escapes Louis's coilspring punches once he has you hurt. NO ONE. Of course there is a chance that Foreman lands early on Louis hurting him, but it is far more LIKELY that the much faster punching Brown Bomber hits his slower big target Foreman and takes big Gerge out...BIGGER is not necesarilly BETTER...
This is perhaps the easiest Mythical Matchup to call in the history of this board. Joe Louis takes apart George Foreman inside 3 rounds on an off day. Like shooting fish in a barrel for the Brown Bomber.
Joe Louis had a legendary chin. Galento merely lifted him off the ground with left hooks, and Louis got right back into the fight. Like he was made of iron. But Foremans punches don't really care if you have a chin or not. I think Foreman wins this fight, but Louis can beat him to the punch and win. Very hard fight to call!
