He's not my hero & is Marciano really all that great? He had little to none in stiff competition if you examine the record.

He was one tough SOB & competition or not, he probably would have held his own against the best ever.

This has to be the biggest joke ever right. I mean the guy is ranked like #53 on Boxrec. OLOLOLOLOLLOLOLLO

There isn't one single thing Mesi shares with Rocky ****ing Marciano. Marciano is still better than him even dead.

    OK.
What do you want to hear.?
Joe Mesi is brave enough to step into the ring and fight hand picked opponents.
At this rate, he will probably surpass Marciano's undefeated record by fighting "Palukas".
He could probably go 100 - 0 this way.
Remember --- you fight "tomata cans" --- you become one.

I think Mesi would suffer from severe brain damage the rest of his life if
he steps up in that ring with any top 5 HW fighter ?

Mesi Has To Fight Someone Before Getting A Title Shot, He Is A Good Hvywt But Has Not Fought Anyone Since His Comeback And Health Problems, I Was Very Impressed With His Destruction Of Robert Daniels And Tos Davarell Williamson. His Win Over Barrett Was Good But He Faded Late And He Was Dominating Jirov Until The Last 3 Rounds. He Needs To Beat A Top 10 Guy And He Should Get A Title Shot. BY THE WAY HE IS NOT NO WILL EVER BE A MARCIANO

Joe Mesi will win his next 2 fights, will then defeat a Chagaev or Ibraigimov and then... will STOP Wladamir Klitchko and become HW Champion.

    :yep

Mesi is undefeated, American, articulate, self promoting, good looking and ....ahem...white.
Here is a scenario: He fights Terry Smith in April. With a victory he can fight twice more in 2008 versus someone like Rahman and maybe an Ibragimov and earn a title shot in 2009. Mesi beats both. (As he said on ESPN2 last night styles make fights.)
The stage is set. Just three fights and he fights for a title.

Joe Mesi isn't worthy to be likened to the great Marciano.

Jetski is impressed by any white American fighter who is aggressive.

Mesi is a good guy, but he will never even be top 10. He's a step up above Mike Mollo at best.
