    I'd love to see Mesi-Moorer or Mesi-Raahman.

Actually I was thinking Smith makes the best opponent. It would probably be a pick'em fight, based on Mesi recent performances. Anybody else that was mentioned and I think Mesi gets hurt, bad, very bad.

Mesi - Rahman would actually be huge if it happened in upstate New York. Given Mesi's health problems, though, that is not likely to happen.

Moorer-Jirov would be good. Both went on a two year layoff, ironically after fighting Vassilly Jirov. First Mesi and then Moorer.

    Might as well have Mesi-Arreola

Eliminate one of these "contenders" and see if Chris is legit.

Why wont Mesi go away.....I dont buy into it he has only one thing going for him and if it werent for that he would be about as interesting as a Bowe comeback.

I think Terry Smith,Brian Minto and Donnel Holmes are all good opponents for Baby Joe:good but that Chris Arreola might be too strong foe Mesi:-(
    # 1 Terry Smith durable but with no punch if Mesi could knock out it would be a feather in is cap.
    # 2 Brian Minto would be a great brawl which Mesi would win.
    # 3 Donnel Holmes is highly rated but has a paded record and I feel would be a easy fight for Mesi.
    # 4 Chris Arreole has a iron chin and a big punch and Mesi has been knocked down by lesser bangers I think this is a bad fight for Mesi but a great fight for the fans:bbb

Any of the listed opponents would be good steps for Mesi at this point. He's been impressive in his last three outings, but none of them were against anyone even approaching contender status. If he wants to be looked at seriously as a major player again, he needs to beat at least a gatekeeper-level guy.

I assume you mean Moorer/Mesi, and yeah that would be a good match up for Joe.

Mesi should first quickly fight somebody who is respected, known, but offers little risk for him. Minto, Holmes, Greenberg are good options, not so sure about Smith, who's quite unknown.

Then he should fight a big name like Rahman, Moorer, Holyfield, Liakhovich, Ruiz, Golota, Meehan, Brock, Chambers, all fights he can win, to get him in position for a title fight.

Hey Zakman, you misunderstood me man, I don't want Mesi to fight Tua, I'd like them both to make a final push at the belt, but not against each other.

Mesi needs to work his way to a title soon..I would just like to see him get 1 shot at a title..I've tried to do research on whether he would be allowed to fight in Europe(Germany possibly) for fights and have had no luck...It seems the most logical route for Mesi as most of the top contenders fight out of Germany however I've had no luck with researching the issue...Does anyone know about that??????
