Joe Murray (bantamweight) Olympics result

I thought Murray was lousy to be honest, took 2 1/2 rounds to wake up. The referee didn't help by warning both of them for holding, when the Chinese man could have put John Ruiz to shame.

Murray also landed three or four shots that weren't scored, but all in all didn't deserve the win :deal

his time will come, only 18 right. hopefully he will stay amateur and go to 2012.

 

I think he was over-rawed to a degree, but still he didn't deserve to win really.

I know it is nothing to do with boxing but I have really taken a dislike to the young synchronised diver :deal

 

I thought it was only me. Whether it be that awful toothy grin, or his desperation to get on camera I don't know. Yesterday I saw him take a shower after his dive, and then when the next pair finished he came back for another shower when the cameras were following the other pair get out. little knob! and he came last!

oh and the boxers namesake andy murray, is even worse than Tim in my book. At least Tim acknowledged the fact he was crap and took it with dignity, but Andy Murray looks in a state of shock everytime he plays awfully, which happens very often.

 

Not sure on the little diver... someone in that pair is being a dick but not sure who... I'm inclined to think it's the kid. Being a kid I guess.

On the boxing, just checked some of the fight times etc for our lads

Agreed, Murray is a very good player

Shocked that he lost like that, I suspect he wasn't overly fussed about it, that's the only thing I can think of

He is coming off probably his career best tournament win so it just doesn't make sense

 

correction: his only masters tournament win, and one where Nadal was either out for injury, or knocked out early can't remember.

Murray has skills, but when it comes to the crunch he can't produce the goods. Going out to Taipei's world ranked 77th player classic example. Wouldn't mind but he's incredibly arrogant for a man of such little achievement.

 

I can't believe that Murray went out so early. My mrs is furious as she had only just ironed my "Anyone but Murray" T-Shirt ready for the next round......*******.

 

In the interests of fairness Nadal lost to Djokovic in the semis

He had blisters though apparently

Beating Djokovic is no mean feat for Murray whichever way you dress it up

I'm not over keen on the guy but as a player he's very good and potentially a major winner

 

He has potential, I know, and is our only prospect at the moment, apart from that teenage jailbaiter, forget the name.

I just don't like his face.
