Mike Tyson isn't ranked anymore. Neither is Lennox lewis, what you gotta say about that? Moot points. Povetkin is a solid operator, a KO artist, and power is the last thing to go and Dillisn whyte knew it. Povetkin had just come off a good performance against heavyweight BOOGEYMAN Michael Hunter widely lauded as top dog by this forum and despite Hunter pulling a fast one and jumping "old man" povetkin early he came short. And Hunter would have suffered a KD if it hadn't been for the ropes holding Hunter up. Whyte was smashing up Povetkin till he got KTFO by a beautiful uppercut and that's why heavyweight boxing is heavyweight boxing. So he was doing good till he got KOd. Now in the rematch he returned the favour and stopped Povetkin. He jumped on Povetkin without fear not in a cheeky desperate manner like Hunter did but as a guy that has no fear against the guy that sparked him clean out. Now if we compare same scenario with AJ when he rematches Ruiz, did you see how tentative and hesitant Joshua was? Afraid to get KOd again and reluctant to engage in contrast to the bravery displayed by how Dillian went straight for Povetkin in rematch.
Parker had a clash of heads scored as a legitimate knockdown, with no time allowed to recover either, that’s not an excuse its a fact ! If I had mentioned the rough house tactics Whyte got away with that would have been an excuse but I didn’t mention it .
A clash of heads took away the Samoans man victory? It's boxing. It's a fight. The man was lauded for his iron chin at the time a man that has never touched the canvas. After that clash he got knocked down by one of the most vicious left hooks in the history of mankind, a gunshot reverberating around the arena and he got up and smiled like yeah nice shot. Just 2 measly points is what stopped Parker from defeating Whyte??? Whyte a white collar boxer who started late in boxing who is a "slow plodding glass jawed unskilled oaf" as described by the forum. Versus... Parker a skilled, granite Jawed, fast and mobile boxing technician with 16 years more experience. 16 YEARS MORE EXPERIENCE!!! That's 2 careers, three divorces and 5 children worth of time. So why was the result even remotely close? Why didn't Parker expose the levels? Why didn't Parker walk over to whyte... apply 16 years of boxing advantage, slip, dodge and then KO the "lucky, slow moving, plodding, glass jawed" Brixton man out. But Parker couldn't. It's win for Whyte anyway you slice it.
Parker was Knocked DOWN by a head clash. Dazed for several rounds after. Then that was SCORED as a KD against him!! Even so, he almost won by KO in the 12th. A very bad and unfair loss that should have had an immediate rematch Watch it again!
Yeah if Parker Had 13 or 14 or 15 rounds he would be beat Dillian. I don't know why he didn't decide to beat dillian from round 1, I mean he was boxing since he was 5 years old. Dillian started boxing at 30. I exaggerate, but not by much.
What kind of argument they're retired Lewis especially on top Povetkin drew with Hunter, how is that a good performance ? A good performance for Hunter maybe Whyte still got KO'd no matter how uts sliced and Povetkin was old as hell, prime Povetkin smokes Whyte 10 out of 10 times.
Yeah prime povetkin does, but Hunter was young and fresh when he fought Povetkin and he jumped povetkin very early to try and catch "old man" of guard and despite everything young hunter could only get a draw against "old" povetkin. So Hunter was the boogeyman at the time. But Dillian was clearly beating Povetkin with two knockdowns till he got caught with a really good shot. Hunter was never winning when he fought. Hunter didn't get knocked out either but was held up by ropes . Whyte is inexperienced compared to both with terrible footwork, so not surprised he was KOd by the technically better Povetkin.
Whyte wins over Povetkin, Parker, Rivas and Chisora is much better than Wilders best 4 opponents he has beaten.
