Joe Parker vs Zhilei Zhang: who will win?

This will be a great fight and the new version of Parker will look good, I would say 55-45 I favor Zhang but Parker could show up in the best of his career.

 

I was really excited about this fight until I watched the press conference and heard Zhang has a rematch clause. Now it feels pretty much pointless. I understand rematch clauses in title fights but come on. Now Parker has to beat Zhang twice? What happens if they split the first 2? As long as Zhang wins the second it's bye bye Parker or do they fight a third time.

 

Second time Parker has been hit with a one-way rematch clause. Says a lot about a fighters confidence...

 

I feel like Zhang has to much for Parker.

 

Why is Zhang coming in so heavy? A little concerned about that.

 

He was 288 for Joyce. 3 extra lbs is not much when he's that huge.

He does look a bit soft though. He should be around 270, so he can be a bit faster. The guy is 40... 41 in May... that dad bod taking over.

Zhang's going in too heavy I think. He'll gas pretty hard on the second half.

The who will win voting is just under 3:2 for Zhang. I believe the betting line is close to that.

Well, who's ever blown out Parker in six rounds or less?

 

50/50 honestly. Zhang will be dangerous for the first half of the fight but he'll be facing someone who isn't slow, predictable, and with poor defense like Joyce. Joseph Parker has the quicker feet and can outbox Zhang from the outside as long as he fights safely like he did against Wilder. Styles make fights and Zhang doesn't have the stamina and workrate that Joyce had when he stopped Parker.
