I think Rogan's too hard on Ali post exile. He talks about him with profane language as if 1970ies Ali was was a bum fighting with 5 once gloves in a octagon. But overall it's a nice commentary. I always like watching that early time frame of Mike's career - Spinks, Holmes, Berbick, Smith, etc...just beautiful.
Not sure if this is the video, but he broke down why Tyson could possibly beat Ali.. "I know that is blasphemous and unholy to say such a thing" but was a good listen..
Yeah, I remember that. It's starts at 10:40 of the video below after he praises Pac and May. It's interesting you mention that because I just saw a video where Robert Garcia just said Tyson KO's Ali. ESNEWS. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzBJqZQSLR8&hd=1[/ame] _ I just find it interesting because to many from the boxing community seem to overlook that Joe Rogan is still a boxing fan. He is a "Fight Fan" And with these videos, it's like a bunch of guys sitting around a table at a barbecue telling stories. Agree or Disagree with what he is saying, it's chill how boxing can make a cool conversation. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhwTN9EQunk[/ame]
Tyson was no where near as tough as Frazier - physically and mentally. Ali would have him mentally destroyed by round 6.
Rogan always states the obvious and then tries to make it seem as thought his thoughts aren't mainstream. Anyone who thinks about these things for more than a second can come to the same conclusion.
Is Rogan still a boxing fan? does he regularly talk about boxing matches how bout Dana White is he just an act and likes boxing
Seems obvious Rogan is a boxing fan. When he engages in conversation about boxing or any fighting sport for that matter, he turns into a fan-boy like many of us. He has a lot of admiration for fighters. Dana White: I don't know but Last time I heard he still likes boxing. He started in boxing. But you have to remember, he is in the MMA business so he has to sell that. It's still competition. And he isn't going to act like Boxing is better. It is after all, two different sports. So my take of it would be that he follows the big time boxers mostly because his time is spent in the MMA world....while Rogan is just a die hard fight fan who watches basically everything. And anyone can agree or disagree with their opinions because they are their opinion; a fan's opinion.
Frazier was tougher but Tyson is bigger, stronger, faster, better chin and defense and Hitachi harder with a way more varied offense. Tyson is overall a bigger and better version of Frazier in every way. I love how everyone that picks Ali always has Tyson breaking down mentally in the fight. Sorry but when pre prison did Tyson ever break down mentally in the ring?
