Sakuraba hit a very similar hybrid of a neck crank/choke in one of his last wins before his career flat-lined. I can't remember the name of the opponent but it was a gorgeous finish. Joe was very polite discussing the way Conor folded. The stuff he was saying about Conor's left arm being on the floor is a euphemism for saying Conor quit. I think Joe has been a lot more discrete in calling out poor submission defense as a form of quitting ever since he received an avalanche of hate for saying that Machida 'broke' against Luke Rockhold by not defending. Incidently I don't think there's anything wrong with saying a fighter broke. I compete regularly in BJJ and see tough men and women mentally 'break' all the time. MMA is even more rigorous so it stands to reason that people would sometimes break. Its just being objective, its not an insult, at least imho.
