Joe Rogan said Ali and Dundee cheated Henry Cooper?

My biggest problem is: who is Joe Rogan?

i have been interested in boxing for more than 60 years, and I haver never heard of him as a boxing historian or expert.

 

Can you name some that have been dsq'd?

 

Rogan is a terrific podcast host and an excellent MMA commentator. But he isn't a boxing expert. He likes boxing and follows it to some degree. But he isn't an expert. And he will say things to generate headlines.

 

His podcasts, at least his best ones, involve very little to none of his own opinion. He works the guests for a few hours to get theirs. The long format is the innovation which set him apart. And contrary to what many who do not actually listen to him think, it is the guests' thoughts and elucidation over a long conversation that are intriguing. When he has a "meh" guest I don't bother listening because there is really nothing in it.

 

I remember seeing a video of Rogan talking about Joe Louis and Marciano and he talked about their nutrition as if they were famine victims lol

 

Yeah, he's cringy when talking about my beloved sport. It's not good.

 

Pretty much this, he’s at his best when he isn’t involved personally where he won’t try to make it about him or his terrible comedy buddies seriously his close friend circle seems like a collective of all the most cringey and repulsive comedians… there’s gold to be found he’s a genuinely intrigued curious kinda guy.

 

Reminds me for some reason of when Larry Holmes was calling Azuhma Nelson a hungry fighter because of where he was from blah blah blah only to find out he was from a rich family in an upper class district.
