Joe Smith is by far the hardest puncher p4p in the sport

Smith has top level power but p4p I gotta go with Wilder.

It did appear though that even the few jabs Joe landed on Hart shook him.

He's got power but he should have KO'd Hart if he's so powerful. He's got really good stamina to throw bombs for 10 rounds, I believe that pressure bothered Hart. And he seems to have a good chin. So I don't think he's competing with just power.

Smith said he feels Bivol is not only the best LHW at the moment but one of the best fighters in the sport and that he'd like to try and avenge his loss to him 1 or 2 fights down the road.

Prior to last night, no. He wasn't ranked in the top 15 by any of the governing bodies.

Inoue hits harder than Smith and I'm not just talking hits harder P4P either. He hits harder than him, period. FACT.

It will be the same result. Bivol dances and wins every round and Joe Smith's only chance is to land a bomb. Smith did land a grazing shot at the end of one of the rounds and Bivol was out on his feet and ready to go, but Bivol was saved by the bell.

It's astonishing how easily an old Donaire walked through Inoue. We're talking about a precise, accurate puncher and was landing flush bombs on Donaire and it was amazing and unbelievable toughness from Donaire. He was like give me more, it doesn't hurt, you have no power, you can't do it.

If that was the case he'd hardly win a fight. He's a lot more patient and methodical than you claim. Like I mentioned before, he keeps a really tight guard and maintains his distance well. And his timing and shot selection negates any speed disadvantage he might have, which is how he's able to land heavy shots with such frequency on faster fighters.

He reminds me a bit of a less reckless LHW version of Marcos Maidana, and the Smith Hart fight reminded me a lot of Maidana vs Broner actually.

The fight with Hart was my first time watching Joe Smith and I was impressed with his skill and ability. Good on the inside, intelligent pressure, good stamina. The narrative was that Smith was a crude slugger who would be outwitted by good boxer Hart, but it was Hart who had his skills exposed. Smith is better on the inside than Hart is on the outside. I actually bet on Smith despite not having watched him because I felt the optics were wrong. Smith, I heard, is a blue collar man who still had/has a day job, and he does not come across in interviews as having been educated at Eton. He is one of the few representatives of his group (like Caleb Plant who was also underrated).

Smith Jr. Comes across as poorly educated, not a particularly well read man. Nor eloquent in speech or behavior. But hes very gracious, unnassuming and genuine. Something that Caleb Plant lacks.

A true working and fighting man.

More than likely, yes. Smith said he's been working on a lot of things during the 9 months he was out and I think some improvements have been made. But I still see Bivol being too slick and quick for him with those fast hands, feet and reflexes of his.
