True but Inoue was fighting with a shattered orbital socket, broken nose and double vision for most of the fight and Nonito had only ever been floored once before, by Walters who stopped him. But Walters would fair very well up at 175 too.

Healthy Inoue with two good eyes and no broken bones in his face sparks out everyone from 118 to 168 with the exception of Loma who takes his ass to slick school.

Not to me. Hard to bestow that label on someone whose in their first and only weightclass, and who has a sub 75% ko ratio there as well.

Hes a hard hitting power puncher, for sure. P4P hardest? Nah... not to me.

Most people think the hardest puncher p4p is Wilder who hasnt stopped a single top fighter.

Or they say its Inoue who hasnt stopped a single top fighter either. Actually, Donaire just wanted more. Like he kept asking please I need more, it doesnt hurt, you cant punch. I was in awe.

And then there is Beterbiev who has stopped a top guy. Hell, hes stopped everybody.

I'm still going with Smith though.

Wilder hasnt stopped a top guy... but, hes got a 95% ko percentage all together.

Smiths is 75%. Whose the top guy hes stopped? So he also hasnt stopped a top guy, and has a lesser percentage against the rest.

Not to mention Wilder has multiple KO's and KDs against people that have dozens of pounds on him.

And you bring up Beterbiev... another obvious choice ahead of Smith, imo. Hes stopped everyone hes faced and that includes a primed top tier fighter.

I'll be honest.... the digging in and clutching to the idea that Smith is the biggest puncher in the sport is so far out there to me, that its somewhat baffling.

But ay... I cant disprove your view, so to each their own. He definitely punches like a mule.

I hope hes able to get another big fight soon.

I like JS but he is extremely limited, and he takes way too many punches. He should have finished that boy multiple times but could never figure out how to cut off the ring on him.

He stopped a top ten fighter in Ortiz with one punch after getting outboxed for seven rounds. Show me a fight in Smith's resume where he does that.

What the hell are you on about? Narvaez, Rodrigues, McDonnell are all top fighters, they are all easily better than anyone Smith stopped to date.(Yes, including Fonfara and 55 year old B-Hop) He couldn’t stop Donaire whose only stoppage loss to Walters who’s twice the size of Inoue after having him badly hurt several times, all of a sudden his power is overrated? Give me a ****ing break.

And you keep spewing this BS that Smith has zero skills, that he only gets by with power but back in 2014, when Wilder almost killed Liakhiovich(who took Andy Ruiz the distance a couple of fights later), he was more crude than Smith is right now. If anything, the Smith from the other night looked way more polished than Wilder did 5 years ago.

Joe Smith Jr is a great story and I hope he gets a title shot after this, but no way is he the hardest p4p puncher in the world, he’s not even top3. In fact, one can easily argue that Gassiev and Lemieux are harder punchers than him as well.
