“I think he’s pretty much a one-dimensional fighter. I know he’s got the power going for him. He’s a strong guy, but I’ve never really seen him look great boxing-wise, in my opinion. He has had one fight that I really give him credit for. But the rest, it seems like a lot of the guys that he fights aren’t even top-10 guys.”

    Do you agree or disagree?

I want to see these two guys fight. Joe can punch but I don’t think he can handle AB. Too strong and too tough. Hope we get to see this one before the end of the year.

Beterbiev would knock Joe's tiny little head off his shoulders.

If he is so confident then start beating that drum my man.

Beterbiev is highly overrated and his best performances have come against guys coming in off long lay offs or punishing fights.....now HE is the one coming off the long lay off and tough fight, plus he is old now and his body riddled by Covid.
Smith is younger, more active, and has comparable power.
Beterbiev better steer clear if he is to maintain his myth of invincibility, Smith is not the path he needs. Smith is all wrong for him. Why stir up a hornets nest when there are other options?

Beterbiev beats the **** out of Smith. Smith is about as one dimensional as it gets

Beterbiev doesn’t avoid opponents, they avoid HIM. Joe Smith will get his fight if he wants it. I don’t think he wants it.

Smith is a caveman. I think that he would knock Beterbiev out cold.

Not sure what is wrong with the definition of "one-dimensional"?" Beterbiev actually IS one-dimensional but he's incredibly good at what he's doing in the ring: Pressuring, walking opponents down and make them quit with it + insane strength and raw power. If you look at Beterbiev you don't see a versatile and very skilled boxer. You see a very basic boxer but an insane athlete with enormous power and strength. You can call him "one-dimensional" if we just talk about boxing skills and fight style, yeah. You will never see a different style. I don't think a guy like Beterbiev will try to outbox an opponent anytime soon. There is no variety in his fighting style. Smith is actually on point but it sounds worse / people overreacting to the description.

Nothing wrong with being one-dimensional if you're so good at what you do best. Guillermo Rigondeaux is a one-dimensional fighter but he was great at what he did.

Your casual speech, you had did this about more than 20 non US boxers. Habit.

    I do not agree.
Best his fights were vs undefeated champ in Gvozdyk instead of picking some bum for fight to easily KO and get applodisments.
Johnson was undefeated before fight vs Breterbiev.
Yeah, I think Rigo had the same curse as Loma: too late had turned into pro ranks. Both were 2 times Oly champions and overall they both had similar impressive amateur rules fight resume and achievements.
A lot of fighters were one dimensional, including famous world icons from U.S.

Beterbiev looks is out of prime but his resume is really cool.

Why are Canelo fans always hating on Beterbiev?

Dont worry, he'll never get the chance to spank Canelo so just chill and smoke some of that cartel crack.

It sounds like he wants it but he better start beating that drum if he is serious
