Joe Smith Jr: The Beast Of Long Island-The Light Heavyweight East Coast Irish Bomber.

Joseph Smith Jr. is a 6'0 28 year old Light Heavyweight with a 24-2 20 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Long Island, New York. While most would look at that 1 KO loss and write him off as a bum, look before you leap, he was fighting Eddie Caminero, not a great fighter, but he managed to land the perfect shot breaking Joe's jaw, which as with most people caused him to react by turning him back wincing in pain and lean over the ropes causing the ref to stop the match. Since he didn't go down even though his jaw was cracked that means while he may technically have a glass jaw, he still has a pretty good chin. He truly lives up to his nickname he comes in like an Irish Bomber throwing a two fisted barrage of body shots, mixed in with left and right hooks and uppercuts up top like a maniac, but more often than not it works on his chinnier opponents. If he wants to be top tier he needs to work on a few things like defense, but I see some potential in him, at the very least it would be nice to see him face Seanie Monaghan or Marcus Browne and they could have a Battle Of New York. He's very unfortunately named, he shares the same name as the crazy ass Prophet/founder of the Mormon church. So Check Joe Out He's Pretty Good.

Joe's gonna have his first real step up against solid former Super Middleweight Will Rosinsky who gave Edwin Rodriguez a stiff test a few years ago. They'll be fighting on the undercard of Quillin-Jacobs.

 

Yeah not the most exciting name is it. It wouldn't shock me either to see Rosinsky edge it, however Rosinsky went down against Pavlik at SMW and Joe is a fairly big Light Heavy, and this is Will's first fight against a "big puncher" at LHW so.... you never know though. I guess we'll see if he's the real deal or not.
