Joe Smith Jr vs. Daniel Jacobs in the works!

Well...i like Daniel. He's a good fighter. But Smith will seriously HURT him in a boxing fight.

 

**** that fight. Never want to see Jacobs again after he **** the bed vs Rosado. Gimme Smith vs Beterbiev or Bivol II. The division is ****, so let's not waste time with nothing bouts.

 

Well this is a weird, out of nowhere matchup........................I'm no fan of Joe Smith at all, but Danny would get completely washed and hung out to dry against a physical bruising type of LHW...............

Contrary to the current line of thinking of some..............weight classes matter very much.

 

I don't see Danny cashing out like that.

 

Danny is no slouch when it comes to power either....and he can box. I'd pick Jacobs by UD.

 

What's the weight? 175? That's a bridge too far for Jacobs.

 

Well it would be a mighty impressive win if Jacobs pulls it off. So it would deserve praise from his end... It's a weird fight for Smith as it looks on paper as though "well, he better win."

Then again, the majority of this forum referred to Jacobs as "cruiserweight Jacobs" for a couple years so I dunno I guess a lot of people think they're the same size.

 

Smith KOs him graphically. Jacobs appears to be slipping, and I question whether he'll carry power and durability to 175. But he's a tough guy and has skills and experience, so I'd be interested to watch.

 

He has a better shot than Brook had vs GGG or Garcia had vs Spence.

 

It makes sense for Smith because he's had some rough fights so here's a name that wasn't showing enormous power or high work rate in his last outing.

Still it's a weird matchup for two guys who have several natural opponents.

 

It's not the fight we want but its the fight the tristate area needs.
