Fair play to smith its a great story. But lets call a spade a spade 175 is red hot and when he fight one of the top boys he will get hurt
That would be a good fight for Smith, I dont want him to be fed to Gvozdyk, he could knock him out, but most likely Govzdyk just boxes circles around him.
Gvodsyk, bivol and beterbiev id say would break he's face in and send him back to the building site for life He is a fun fighter i don't want that
Fitting that this guy would be the one to end B-Hop's career. Hopkins sometimes brought up race in an ugly way but above all he respects and identifies with blue collar guys who have to come up and pay their dues the hard way.
Terrible matchup for Joe, Gvozdyk is too many levels ahead of him in boxing, plus it's a low reward fight. Just a puncher's chance. He's better off to face Stevenson, who's nearly 40, Pascal, Dawson, or someone like that.
ROFL You guys have lost the plot! 'Cinderella Man'.. Here's his amateur background: With just about 50 amateur fights, Joe won many titles including the Title World Champion in 2006, Junior Olympic Champion in 2004, 2005, and 2006, Empire State Champion in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and the New York Metro Champion in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. One of the most memorable times in Joe’s life was in 2008 when he celebrated the birth of his daughter and just weeks later became a New York Golden Glove Champion with an impressive win over Sean Monaghan.
He is promoted by Hearns so maybe they can work something out. I think, it would be very competitive fight between two flawed, but exciting fighters.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE fight for Joe right now. Nate has an iron chin, insane workrate, equal power as BHop, and an engine like no other. Joe needs to be CAREFULLY steered through the top 30s, giving himself the type of resume that can command decent money behind his OWN marquee. Hopefully Seanie Monaghans team will take him back a notch to the shot gatekeepers so he can look more formidable, and regain the trust of the casuals in New England. While Joe himself continues his KO streak against middling opposition with name value, ie Campillo, Cloud, Thomas Williams Jr, and Tommy Karpency. Joes management should look to sign him to a 2 fight deal with HBO, for BAD shows, possibly trying to get Chad Dawson on his ledger. He can get the highlight reel KO again, then take on Seanie. Make some decent dough, then put himself up for bids with the rival promoters.
