it will show nothing as far as i'm concerned. RJJ will take a beating for a nice fat cheque.

joe has a hell of a lot more left than roy who's been god awful for about 4 years.

prime for prime RJJ takes a comfortable decision, now he gets hammered.

 

If this is official, has a venue been set or even a country?

I wanted this fight to happen and to happen at a big stadium in the UK, if only to get the chance to watch RJJ fight live in an atmosphere like that just once before he retires. Selfish reasoning but there you go.

Pavlik would be the better fight for legacy (maybe) but Pavlik doesn't interest me as much as Roy.

bad move by calzghe, beating up an old jones will prove nothing

 

a stoppage is not out of the question but RJJ did fail to put away lesser fighters than joe who is an extremely well conditioned fighter with a very solid chin. i can see him being taken out late in the fight when he's behind on the scorecards and goes out on his shield.

current roy is a chinny, legless guy with very poor stamina that couldn't put away the tomato cans that have been put in front of him since tarver and glencoffe ****ed up his universe.

but judging by reports straight after the hopkins bout from vegas he sounded pretty bored of boxing and fed up with all the dieting and training camps.

everyone in the boxing world has been giving mayweather **** for his proposed DLH and hatton rematches, not just "the people across the pond".

 

Personally at this point in time maybe it makes good business sense, cal vs jones, and maybe pavlik vs abraham after he decks miranda, then if pav comes thru the AA fight (good 50/50 fight imo) then a huge superfight with calzaghe.

anyone who actually reads the article will realises headline for this thread is highly misleading.

Calzaghe says he doesnt think Pavlik wants to fight him. No doubt he would take this fight ahead of Jones Jnr if a decent offer was made. Pavlik should also be prepared to go to Wales.

 

Joe is not going to fight RJJ! Nobody wants to see Joe drag RJJ's sorry arse around the ring.....

Joe got seriously outclassed by Hopkins who has no power. Now he is about to get outclassed by Roy who still has power and he has fast hands still, although not as fast as before.
