Roy Jones is the only one I would perhaps make favorite over Joe Calzaghe. For this reason we should perhaps consider not acknowledging prime Roy Jone Jr ever existed.
James Toney is very skilled. James Toney used to be very athletic and had an excellent workrate and stamina. Which many people forget. But he was very hit and miss vs the elite opponents and I consider Joe Calzageh the upperend of elite. If Toney had distinguisded himself truly from the Griffins, MaCallums etc the argument could be made, but he didn't. And without any apparent stylistic advantage I see no reason to pick him. Hopkins has the better case, simply because of his style. Though I still pick the younger version of Calzaghe of the best Hopkins, though I'll acknowledge he would cause massive problems for a few rounds.
