Very nice skills, but the lack of raw power would probably do him in at pro top level.
    We'll see :bbb

You never know, once he puts on the smaller gloves and grows into the weight properly he could have real KO power

For some reason, gypsies are always feather-fisted.

why? he beat Mekhontsev when he was 17, he also beat the current russian number 1 Ivanov when he was 17 and had less than 10 senior fights

he also beat the current aiba ranked number 1 light heavyweight Niyazymbetov

He beat Ivanov on a cut ffs.

He did beat both Mekhontsev and Niyazymbetov in the (amusingly named) 'Chemistry Cup' (2012 and 2014 respectively) based out of Germany, but having looked through the medals tables for the event it does seem to regularly throw up some atypical results (in 2014 Germany got 10 of the 40 medals)

Still, Ward is undoubtedly a very talented young guy.

Pretty good, especially for his age. I think he could use a little work on his fluidity, though. He presented a few ticks in the Solonenko fight that could have been capitalized upon were Solonenko more athletic or astute to pick up on them.

I think he hits harder than you think. I think his style is a bit too amateurish at times, he doesn't plant his feet enough, and still adopts a herky jerky points scoring amateur way of fighting a lot. Plus those fights in the WSB were back he was still a 18/19 year old teenager so he is going to have top level development obviously. He is very physically strong though and can run through he opponents when he comes forward. In fact some of the best performances ive seen of him he's been on the front foot bullying his opponent. Case in point, Ward on the front foot battering former Olympic silver medalist Kenny Egan in the 2012 All-Ireland final

Mark my words he will be p4p top 5 in the world, he will be the best fighter to ever come out of Ireland i'm telling you. For people who question his power i assume you'v never seen him fight, he hits like a ****ing tank he has savage power one of the hardest hitters in amateur boxing, he destroyed Egan at 18 and was robbed of a place at the olympics were he would have at least won a medal i'm convinced. Joe Ward is 20 years old trust me when i say he's one of the best prospects in world boxing, he has the perfect style for the pro game, People are hyping Callum Smith who i admit is quality but trust me Ward is in a totally different league to Callum Smith he's something truly special.

A few days there was a "watch" link below the results on the APB site. It led to youtube but it's gone now. Are the matches available somewhere?
