Slappy Joe has fought prime champions, while Pedjr, none. Also Slappy Joe doesn't have two losses on his resume.
floyd's win under 140 would equalize that. don't mention his fights above 140. they're all cherrypickemup
Seems ESBs biggest weirdo is bringing my name up again. I am a big fan of Floyd, felt the fight with Maidana was a draw and rate Floyds resume very highly. Calzaghe is also a fighter with a great resume and wins over fighters like Hopkins, Eubank and Jones who have had over 20 world title fights with great experience is very impressive
Neither did Floyd , just tell me who did Floyd lose to ? Maidana ? No way man you would know it was a clear win if you could actually score a fight... JLC 1 ? ok , this was a very close fight and Floyd got a bit lucky , so what ? How about Calzaghe - Hopkins fight ? :think
Never even came close to losing. The only reason Hopkins fans hang onto it is because it was a SD where one judge scored for Hopkins. It would be like Shumenov fans claiming Shumenov beat Hopkins because there was a SD to hang onto, but as shown with the way Hopkins was looking for time out and hanging on, something which he hasnt had to do before or after, Calzaghe was dominating

sell me calzaghe's resume without bringing up bogus belts - any of them. you only do it when you're faced with a fighter who you can't compensate on merit your turn - I dare you :hey EDIT : i'll call joe a HOF fighter any day of the week, and I have no problem talking him up at SMW - but take away your beloved belts, which are the bane of boxing's existence, and you lose your teeth but gain sincerity. it's a good trade-off if you know the dental benefits
Joe Calzaghe likely has the greatest single win of the two.. But I feel Mayweather's resume is a bit deeper.
This brings up pretty good controversy on ESB, where Calzaghe and Mayweather have a long list of haters. 46-0 is impressive no matter how you spin it or how many close fights. Hard to pull it together every time you step into the ring.
So many variables can effect a fighters performance on a given night, some that have to do nothing with boxing.. Heck, we even saw close to peak Roy Jones run into some problems in Griffin 1.. Its pro boxing, sometimes guys not as good as you can give you hell on any given night.
Hernandes, Corrales, Castillo, de la Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Cotto Eubank, Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins, Jones Jr. Mayweather wins. Even if Mayweather is actually 44-2 his resume is still miles out in front. Remember, some people question Calzaghe's wins over Reid and Hopkins aswell.
