Is Joel Casamayor a Hall of Famer or not? Having beaten Michael Katsidis, Diego Corrales (two out of three times), and Nate Campbell, and sporting a record of 36W, 3L, and 1 Draw, is Joel Casamayor a Hall of Famer?

He never ducked the best in his division eventhough he lost to Acelino Freitas and Jose Luis Castillo (split-decision lost).

Well... no one could say a bad word if the judges gave him the Freitas and Castillo fights... both very close and Freitas is even a bit controversial, so these two fights with the 2 Corrales wins and being a two-time champ is very impressive...

On the other hand, he recieved the horrible decision in the Santa Cruz fight and there's no way you can use the Katsidis win for the HOF entrance...

So I'd say he hasn't done enough yet as a pro, but if he can beat Campbell NOW, in 2008, as a veteran, as a comeback fighter to become THE legitimate LW champion of the world, and as he's an Olympic gold medallist (that's his biggest achievement yet), he should be in...

But Katsidis was undefeated and was touted as a good fighter perhaps even the best at the 135 lb. division.

Who cares if he was undefeated? He's a warrior with a HUGE heart and because of that he recieved HUGE media attention, everyone compared to him to a great fighter in Gatti even if he hasn't done enough to call him a truly elite fighter... Earl knocked him down! Amonsot, a fighter nobody has ever heard of, gave him a boxing lesson in the early rounds and a 36 year-old Casamayor, who looked like a shot fighter last time, KO'd him...

We should give credit to Katsidis for fighting back but you can't give credit to him to Casamayor's HOF entrance... No way!

Okay. Casamayor would do his HOF candidacy a favor if he fights Juan Diaz, David Diaz, and Nate Campbell and beats them all.

How About Adding A Poll They Do After All Use A Voting System To See If A Fighter Should Get Inducted Don't They?

Yes, he is a great fighter. Hes a mutilple world champion and an olympic gold medalist. I have seen fighters that have accomplished less than this and have been inducted. Hes one of the best fighters of this era and has beaten some great fighters as well. He should be a first round pick.

Casamaya has arguably won every single one of his fights. I had him beating Castillo and Freitas (and Santa Cruz who threw but couldnt land)

Yes, he should be in the HOF. Two division champ, many exciting fights, current lineal champ at 135, former titlist at 130, gold medal winner.

As a pro he never moved weight classses and for me if you're going to stay in 1 weight class you better seriously f some guys up. Bhop was a HOF based on his career at middleweight.....Calzaghe at super middle.......was Casa that good at 135?
