Pretty huge El Cepillo fan here, but the most controversial fight he was ever involved with actually wasn't a loss - but his win over JASC. This content is protected It was the robbery of the year/decade, in fact, but has gotten washed away from memory with the sands of time. Santa Cruz (elder brother of LSC, incidentally) was a middling fighter, with his best official victories coming over Juuko and Cherry - but, as much as the Casa fan in me was relieved to see a faded Casa not officially go down against somebody unfit to polish the boots of his prime self, even I have to admit - José won that, 1000%.
To the hardcore fan (like myself and Im sure most of you), he is not over looked. He had an eventful career. I enjoyed watching a dude who would fight anybody. His fights with Diego were great, Frietas was a fun one, beat Mr. Friday Night Fights Nate Cambell, got a W vs Peterson. But lost to Guerrero, Marquez and Bradley later on toward the tail end. For me he wasnt over looked, he blazed a trail for himself
JLC was great too. Was almost the Chavez Jr. of that generation. More talented though. Often battled the scale, an argument can be made the he beat Floyd too.
British stoppage. Nah OK it was fine. Loved Katsidis, cracking that British glass. Pitty Mitchel didn't **** off after that and he kept showing up over rated as ever for several years. Right up there with Kovalev exposwing Cleverly in British hype job expose
Agreed on Hatton - and maybe Cotto, if talking p4p worth. In terms of their careers though, Cotto > Casa > Hatton, IMO.
