Guzman's got some serious skill and will be too slick for the aged Casa - just hope Guzman makes weight.

This is Casamayor's last outing. Coming on the back of a long layoff, at a higher weight, looked out of shape and against a low quality opponent - but still looked pretty sharp. He was using his legs a lot better than I've seen him do for a while, he was getting in and out well, but there wasn't a lot of purchase on his punches - but I think that might be down to the halfhearted conditioning. Hopefully Joel comes in fresh and in shape for this one.

Guzman has been fighting lesser fighters than Casamayor, and hasn't stopped anyone since 2004, so I can't see him stopping Joel in this fight.

Had a quick look at Guzman, great handspeed, he moves a lot but its not all good, he's a bit flat footed, but not the most sophisticated fighter in the world; his defence leaves a lot to be desired and he can't, or doesn't like, to fight on the inside. Still, he's a very good fighter, and a Guzman UD seems like the most likely outcome.

that was late in their fight, guzman is quick, a great couterpucher and a dangerous fight for casamayor. he will probably be too quick for casamayor. i don't think casamayor can hurt guzman because he has a great chin, if he was ever going to be knocked out then funeka would have done it in their first fight. i think casamayor will need a good start (winning 3 of the first 4) because if he doesn't guzman will box him late on and get a wide ud.

glad to see guzman back in action so soon after the funeka fight. i think golden boy are probably planning guzman vs marquez to see how marquez deals with the hand speed and to see if marquez vs khan is a good fight.

i think 2010 could be the year for guzman, he could get casamayor, marquez and khan. 3 big fights.

Yeah, I think Guzman's hand speed will be key. But I'm not set on a outcome as of yet. I'd like to hear a few more opinions.

What are your thoughts on Guzman's jab?

wow, this is a beautiful and unexpected matchup. fully expect the fresher guzman to have too much for the old warhorse although i'd love to see casa have one final run at a title. still, guzman ud. casa is just too long in the tooth.

I would LOVE a Casamayor victory. He is a true proven world-class warrior, while Guzman is a fat cheating scumbag. However, I have a nasty feeling that Casa is too far gone to pull this off.

He came in at 144 in his last fight, he could probably make it.
