aside from the weight factor, Marquez should have no problem dealing with casamayor. the guy is a grandpa and was lucky he got away with katsidis. but marquez wouldn't let himself get hit with casamayor's tired blows. no chance casamayor escapes this one.

135 will be a hot division this year. maybe the hottest in boxing. unification by early next year!!!!

i have a feeling, pac would be the mayweather of the lightweights. he'll beat a david diaz and carry the most lucrative name in that division, then instead of fighting other champions, he'll spoil the fun by moving up in weight to fight a depleted hatton. then he'll move back to lightweight with an even bigger name. but before he fights the champs, he'll make them wait longer by signing a rematch with hatton. then the fans would start to get really pissed and demand he fight marquez or campbell like the fans now demanding that mayweather should fight cotto or margarito. i hope pac wouldn't be a complete copy of floyd and unify the lightweight belts instead.

two differences. pbf's choices for his next match up are dela hoya and hatton. one is a heavier fighter who he has already defeated and the other is a lighter fighter who he has also defeated. if pac chooses to face hatton at 140, then it only a buffoon could say that he took the easy way out. fighting hatton at 140 is a much taller order than fighting a juan diaz or a katsidis at 135 for the simple reason that it is at 140 and that hatton has never fought under that weight ever.

even if pac does choose hatton, you can't really blame him for doing that because hatton is still a threat to him. dele hoya and hatton are not a threat to pbf. but if pac chooses to fight mab or morales at 135 instead of fighting the legit contenders there, then we can start comparing him to pbf

I say there is a comparison but not exactly. right now, Pac is taking the **** from fans because he is taking a fight against what they call the weakest champion at 135lbs. and this is his very first fight at that division after moving up so many from 106lbs. expectations are too high for pac just as expectations are too high for mayweather. even if he fights hatton, excuses would come out like hatton is a shell of his former self, because by that time, hatton just came from a fight against mallignani which he should win albeit looking bad and slow. then guys like maestro would say, at least dela hoya dominated mayorga and looks fresher coming into the PBF bout than hatton is coming to the pac fight.

now, JMM is going to do what the great corrales coudnt in 3 fights? KO casa?,castillo coudnt, neither freitas..and im talking about real punchers!
its ok if JMM gets a decision but Koing casa?..no way
i still believe my boy casa will give the younger JMM some trouble...
forget about santacruz fight,he was overconfident and looked bad(remember morales -espada?)...

This is what I am thinking actually.

There is a big difference between 130 and 135.

And Casa, for all the "shotness" shot to him by the posters here, is still formidable against a natural featherweight.

I won't bet against him, even if it's Pac or JMM, at 135.

Weight is overrated. JMM is close to prime whereas Casa has clearly seen better days. If the Casa thats turned up for his last few fights turn up fight night, he has no chance.

I'm a little disappointed in this match up

I would have liked to see Casa vs Campbell and Guzman vs JMM, or Casa vs Guzman and JMM vs Campbell

Weight is only over rated when there is a gap in the talent level. If talent levels are close then size is a huge factor...
