Now all the top dogs have left the division, presuming they don't return but cant see it, Can Casa rule once more. He woul have to beat the likes of Juan Diaz, Joan Guzman (when he makes himself a factor) and Edwin Valero (if he wins on saturday). Also how do you think he will go down in history?
was wondering about his quality of opposition as it was considering getting a career set of his as i liked his style of the few fights i have seen. As he had hundereds of amateur fights im guessing he fought decent fighteres of the bat. I only ask as when i bought the Nigel Benn career set n got sick of him knock out 20 odd no hopers inside 3 rounds.
    Thanks

He should lost to Nate Campbell imo, but i dont think he should of lost to Castillo, and he arguably didn't deserve to lose the Freitas fight either.

Dumb game plans thats Casa's trouble.

"Ya win some robberies, ya lose some robberies"

He's got a very good resume but it's littered with questionable decisions going both ways.

As for his future, he's hurt now but chances are if Katsidis or Vincente Escobedo wins big at this lightweight PPV, DLH will go out of his way to set that fight.

Aside from his big wins and losses are the rest of his fights competitve, or does he just dominate against bums. I wanna know what the majority of his comp was like, because boxrec records don't say much(cough Sergio Medina cough)

IMO he is a great fighter who fought the best in his generation in some real classic fights.
I always will remember him as an awesome fighter.Too bad he never fought Mayweather.

Casa was such a bad ass during his prime although he did get a gift against Campbell IMO... He did get sheisted in alot of his other fights where he should have got the nod.

A sure HOF... but a little shy of ATG status.

Joel is now arguably the best lw imo..jmm, nate, and pac all moved north to 140 so joel, juan diaz, and valero should be able to battle it out..imo those are the 3 best lw's...i think juan is the best but valero could take that spot if he fights some top fighters and shows he is as good as his record says he is!

El Cepillo's been shot since he fought Santa Cruz man i don't understand how people don't see that he lost to Santa-Cruz, almost got KTFO against no-skill Katsidis and then got KTFO by Marquez who was moving up in weight.

The man has a good resume tho i rank him above Corrales but below Castillo. He's HOF material for sure.

How the hell did he deserve to win the Freitas fight ?
Casa used his dirty tricks (headbutts, punches after breaks, holding, wrestling ...) all night and was knocked down (yes, the KD was controversial, but it was tecnically correct).
Also, the point deduction was fair. Casa landed a hard punch on Freitas after a clear break and was warned. Then, only a few seconds later he goes and land another punch after another clear break. Even Goosen told Casa to stop landing after breaks.
The best I could see for Casa is a draw.

Casa has arguably won most of his losses. I would be surprised, however, if he could take Juan Diaz or Nate Campbell at this point.
