    I don't think he wasted his talent.
    I think he prefered as well as he could for the talent and skill he actually possessed.
    Everyone won't be a superstar elite fighter right?

    Yeah your right. Also it was Cotto's very first fight at 147lbs. Pretty cool moment for Cotto's career. Quintana was a live dog in there. Also FYI, Quintana is a part time boxer. Dude has a 9 to 5 job, gets in the gym while he can last minute. Crazy stuff for him.

    Yeah. IIRC Carlos was a gas station attendant when he fought Cotto.

    A large portion of the Puerto Rican fan base was actually backing El Indio as he was viewed as both more blue-collar and (implicit in his ring name) less European-blooded than Cotto, whose star hadn't yet risen and whom many viewed as softer coming from a more privileged background ...kind of like the Morales & Barrera rivalry in Mexico, actually.
