Yeah, we have to be careful which fights we recommend to our casual boxing fan friends. A boring fight can turn them off on the sport. I'm a Hopkins fan, but I didn't tell any of my friends to watch him and Joe C because I knew it would be ugly. On the other hand, I told them all to watch the replay of Cotto and Margo.
I agree, the only reason why people are picking Julio is because he can hit hard. You can't go by just one fight to examine Greene. Greene is more well rounded and proved he could take a shot last night.
I sure as didnt see anything about Green last night thats says he's well rounded. He's sloppy, easily as hell to hit, and his balence is terrible.
Then that's the only fight you've seen of Greene because he's usually more controlled than he was last night. Everybody's balance was bad last night because the ring was extremely slippery. He's shown a better defense in past fight's. He still won most of the round's. He wasn't sharp last night, all prospects have fight's where their not sharp.
He got angry and started fighting stupid against Torres, that is why he looked real bad, he usually doesn't fight like that.
Green has less power, a shaky chin, horrible balance, bad accuracy, can't fight at all going backwards, and gets sloppy as hell very often. He's like a terrible 154 version of Berto. Julio is nothing special, but he has much better technique, real power, and he's a lot more relaxed in the ring. I think Julio would stop Green by the mid rounds.
I have to disagree, Joe Greene has good balace and for the most part pretty accurate. He does have lapses though, but Julio does as well. He has better technique than Joel, but you are right he isn't as relaxed.
