Do you expect a KO from him tonight?? I see him winning between rounds 7-9.

Julio should beat Varela not sure if he ko's him though. I've seen Varela against Guittierez and he looked fair but thats the only time I've seen him. Julio is definitly better. I think Julio is looking to fight Sergio Martinez next and that will be a tough fight. I'd love to see him face either Kirkland or Angulo, those would be wars. Thing about Julio is he's been in about 35 fights and has been on television a lot but he's still only 23.

Me, too. I actually saw him fight live at Cobo last year and he had a nice KO, but it wasn't against the greatest competition. An impressive tonight would be a good step towards a shot at one of the belts.

You were close. The ref waved it off at the end of the sixth after Valera got off the canvas for the sixth time.

dam julio made a statement valera has a great chin.

if this guy spared with cotto then cotto had som great prep to see his best punches bounce off with out effect.

julio has some great power not even miranda stopped this guy. valera was very impressive in losing and showed alot of heart

Julio was a bit sloppy in there at times tonight, and too selective. Had he let his hands go more, he coulda ended it inside two.

Julio obviously isnt the most skilled guy around, but his power is quite devestating when he lands flush.

He will be a great fighter for Cotto's come back fight.
