whatever. All these Pavlik fans going out of their way to convince people that Calzaghe is scared is really getting old. Pavlik wants to prove he's better than CAlzaghe he can do it by fighting Kessler, Abraham, Bute, Dawson, etc. Beating a 36 year old with his mind set on retiring won't mean much to me.

Came calling!? Warren offered Jones $5m to come over and fight Joe, Jones declined(quite rightly IMO). No offer came back.

 

At the end of the day, it is what it is.

 

i highly doubt this happened either. as far as i'm aware no effort was made on either side to make the fight happen. warren and calzaghe are the two who should have pushed harder for it being the smaller name etc. looking for the big fish but there was no ducking going on between joe and roy.

 

you're an idiot. You probably thought Hopkins would knock Calzaghe out, and before that you probably thought Lacy would knock Calzaghe out. And now you probably think Pavlik would knock Calzaghe out.

Also, Calzaghe beating Hopkins didn't mean much to me. I expected it. Hopkins is 43. You're the idiot who thought Hopkins would win.

 

I agree no-one should mention ducking, i didnt. Obviously you cant prove any offer coz i wasnt there, But i read the warren interview where he says it and ive heard Roy say why should i have gone to Wales. I said IMO roy was quite right not to go to Wales as he was the far bigger name. I agree all the effort had to come from the Calzaghe camp if they wanted the fight that bad. I was responding to someones post saying Joe ignored them when they came calling.
