Archer was "old school savvy"..and was another like my man Jimmy Young, in not being lucky enough to win a title, despite having apparently done so (Joey deserved at least one of those two Griffith fights). He would have outthought and outboxed..outwitted..out everythinged Oscar, in my humble opinion..but it wouldn't have been outside the realm of possibility that he would have been screwed over against the "Golden Boy" as well..he would have had to have won big..I think he would have.
Joey would take this pretty clearly, Joey beat Dick Tiger,Hurricane Carter,etc. during this time and I feel beat Griffith in fight 1 and should have had a title, Archer UD ODH
