Who would win a 15 round middleweight title fight..the '64-'65 version of Joey Archer vs the SRL of the Hagler fight?

Joey UDs the SRL of the Hagler fight. Ray was then fighting in spurts, and no longer had the speed of his welterweight days. Nor was he as defensively elusive as Benitez. Archer's heat seeking multiple jabs continually landed on a ducking and dodging Griffith. Hearns showed in their first bout that SRL could be outboxed. Joey would have succeeded in doing this.

At middleweight which was Joey Archers turf...I like Archer by a close decision...Joey beat Dick Tiger, Ruben Carter and I think Emile Griffith.....SRL had more flash but Joey had movement, fast hands and an iron chin...Joey was the more natural at 160

Archer would have outboxed Leonard over 15 IMO..Joey was a more natural middleweight and boxing was his specialty...he'd have been troubled some by Leonard's flash, but he would have been patient and stuck to his script for a close decision.

    :patsch

Archer wasnt stopped in 50 fights against the likes of Dick Tiger, Rubin Carter, Sugar Ray Robinson and Emile Griffith...you reckon a past prime, outside of his best weight and defensive minded version of Leonard could buck this trend?

No chance...He will have a hard enough time just beating him..which I actually think he might be able to but with great difficulty and most likely in controversial fashion.

Prime Welterweight Leonard is on a different level in a p4p sense...but even thats debatable depending on what you mean by "levels".
