Hi guys, I'm looking for some assistance. The second Giardello-Hank fight was the Ring Magazine 1962 Fight of the Year but I can't seem to find much information about the fight. I haven't found any video or even a lengthy article. Does anyone know where I can info about this bout without having to buy a book? Thanks for the help.
Only information I can find on this fight is from Boxrec. Would love to see footage of this myself. Hank, 9th ranked middleweight, fought in spurts and had Giardello in trouble in the 2nd, 7th and 9th rounds." -United Press International Unofficial UPI scorecard - 46-44 Giardello Attendance - 5,867 Gate - $26,811 Post fight comments "They stole the fight from me." -Henry Hank "This is the worst I've ever been hit in 14 years. This man hit like a mule. But I won by a slight edge." -Joey Giardello "This is the worst decision I've ever heard." -Harry Baxter, Hank's manager
Thank you. This is what I found as well. It's amazing that there is so little to be found about a fight of the year.
