He would give them both a good fight but I tend to think he would lose to both. Joey would give them quite something to think about but Hopkins would work him out, using his size and strength advantage to rough him up on the inside, probably stopping im late. Marvin would pressure him in the beginning and I think Giardello´s footwork and slightly superior footspeed to Hagler´s would pose quite a problem but in the end he will impose himsel onto Joey and stop him also. Perhaps a bit earlier than Hopkins.
Giardello was a reat fighter but not quite in the league of Hagler and Hopkins.

Hagler beats joey, but i think joey's style would cause hopkins alot of problems, giardello on points

Hopkins would not rough joey up, giardello was as strong and rough as they come terry downs was a a strong middleweight he couldnt believe how strong joey was on the inside

Yeah but Hopkins enters his fights not as a mw but more as a smw or lhw. He just is bigger and stronger.

Like Bodhl said, Giardello gives Hopkins problems with the countering and making his man lead, but Hopkins can lead, and when Bernard is having success himself being the 'you come to me' man then he'd do well imo. I'd probably pick Hopkins ultimately. It's a close call though. I'd likely pick Hagler to win as well, a determined (which is a given) Hagler might win a gruelling fight, competitive all the way, just if i'm forced to pick then i'd go with Hagler.

He's not getting stopped by either, and I think your assessment is quite a bit off. I'd say he was in the very same league as either fighter, he just happened to fight in a much deeper era and under different circumstances than either. He'd have dominated the wasteland 90's MW division every bit as thoroughly as Hopkins did, that's for sure.

Also could you see hopkins beating dick tiger? i dont think he could joey giardello beat tiger, i think they boxed 3 times. Also joey has a win over the guy who first made shaven heads famous rubin carter, who was a bad ass and would of give hagler and hopkins hell

While I do agree that Giardello would have beaten the rest of the 90s guys. I dont feel he was quite on par with a Hopkins or Hagler. HE was a great middle who fought in a great era but he still would have his occasional loss to good but not great fighters, although he beat some great ones too. Bottom line he would not beat Hopkins I think he give Hopkins a helluva a fight and I can see him going the distance here however Hopkins would have an answer for anything Giardello brought whether it was an inside fight or he just boxed from the outside Id go with Hopkins by a clear but competetive decision 9-5-1. I think Hagler would stop him though,Giardello was tough but he would be kod , I think Haglers sharp accurate punches would bust up Giardello (who cut from time to time) and hed stop Giardello after 10 competetive rounds.
