I have never seen this matchup on here. As much has I like Kelly's size and power I think Joey puts on a clinic and takes a UD over the stiff but hard punching Pavlik. Despite his low KO percentage giardello had a pretty strong right hand and excellent mobility and footwork. He was really smart very good at dictating distance not so much with reach but by footwork and angles.
Pavlik showed against Hopkins that all he knew how to do against a clever boxer was stumble forward and get hit in the face. Giardello was very tough besides being leagues above Pavlik in boxing acumen. Easy pick here.
Pavlik was not a stiff fighter. Kelly threw very fluid punches that were absolute bombs and was extremely ambidextrous. Against Pavlik you better be a allusive type fighter otherwise your going to get bombed on. Now Joey was allusive so It would be a hard fighter for Pavlik.
